Emily Cross is the owner of Bytherules Southern Downs, proudly serving Warwick, Stanthorpe and the surrounding region. With over 15 years’ experience in the legal industry — including more than a decade specialising in conveyancing — Emily is known for her approachable nature, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to client care. Deeply connected to her community, she’s the Secretary of her children’s school Parent Network, a member of the local Chamber of Commerce, and an active enthusiast of local events such as the Warwick Rodeo, Jumpers and Jazz and Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Festival and Snowflakes in Stanthorpe. Outside of work, Emily enjoys running, and training at her local boxing club, as well as spending time with her husband and three children exploring all that the Southern Downs has to offer.

What’s the most important part of conveyancing to ensure success?
Clear communication and genuine care. Buying or selling a property is one of the biggest moments in people’s lives, and my goal is to make that process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Keeping clients informed, explaining things in plain language, and ensuring every detail is handled correctly are all key to a successful result.
What involvement do you have in your community?
Having lived and worked in the Warwick and Southern Downs region for many years, I’m proud to be part of such a strong and supportive community. I’m actively involved as the Secretary of my children’s school Parent Network and a member of the local Chamber of Commerce. My children are involved in various sporting clubs and my husband is a long time member of the Warwick SES. It is a core part of our family values to assist the community where we can. My family and I love attending the Warwick Rodeo, Apple and Grape Festival and other amazing regional events, and I’m passionate about supporting local businesses and initiatives that help our community thrive.
What are your hobbies/interests
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, our three children, parents and extended family, who all call the region home. We enjoy exploring everything the Southern Downs has to offer. I’m an active person who enjoys running, the gym, and training at the local boxing club. I also enjoy community involvement, home projects, and catching up with friends over a good coffee — it’s all part of the lifestyle I love here in the Southern Downs.
