What would be your strongest traits?
With over 36 years of experience working in the legal industry as an employed Conveyancing Paralegal and as an Owner / Manager of a Legal Agency Business I have seen firsthand the need for clients to be able to engage with, trust and rely on their chosen legal team. The sale or purchase of any property can bring with it a lot of emotion for varying reasons. My job is to navigate it all with you step by step.
What involvement do you have in your community?
My family and I support our community however we can. Whether it is donating time, manpower or dollars, sponsoring, or just taking food and drinks to the local Fire Brigades and SES when they need it. There is always something going on in a rural community that can be supported.
What are your hobbies/interests?
My family and I lived in both Southport and Paradise Point prior to moving to our beautiful rural property near Canungra. I enjoy spending any down time I have with our family and the many animals that have found their way into our lives. On the rare occasion I get to stop you will find me reading or cooking. Over the years I have enjoyed supporting my family in the many hobbies and interests that have been or still are big parts of our lives including many equestrian disciplines, fishing, boating, speedway and classic cars.
What sets you apart from other conveyancing Paralegals?
Life experience. As an older conveyancer that was first taught the Conveyancing process almost 40 years ago by Lawyers who I still admire and respect I bring a different perspective to the job. I have observed many changes in the decades I have worked in and around the legal industry especially more recently with Queensland mandating electronic conveyancing. Personally, my family and I have navigated the process of buying and selling and all that it entails multiple times now. I understand that it can be an emotional, stressful and sometimes frustrating process. I am always available to answer questions or discuss the progress with my clients throughout their matter and understand that life and work commitments often mean they will need me outside normal business hours. I am there to support them through the entire process from when they decide to sell or choose a property to settlement and beyond where needed.
What’s the most important part of conveyancing to ensure success?
It goes without saying that knowing and fully understanding processes and procedures is of the utmost importance. However, understanding that each matter is a major transaction for the clients you represent is as important. The sale or purchase of property is an important investment and one where the client deserves to be kept up to date, informed and have their interests protected. Clear communication and support of the clients’ needs and requirements are paramount at all times.
