What would be your strongest traits?
With over 36 years of experience working in the legal industry as an employed Conveyancing Paralegal and as an Owner / Manager of a Legal Agency Business I have seen firsthand the need for clients to be able to engage with, trust and rely on their chosen legal team. The sale or purchase of any property can bring with it a lot of emotion for varying reasons. My job is to navigate it all with you step by step.

As a mum of 3 (now adult children) who has been self-employed for 25 years my time management skills have been tested often. Knowing what it is like to traverse the conveyancing and moving process while working, juggling children, staff, family, animals, sport and life commitments means I understand clients may need me outside conventional office hours. I am dedicated to offering our clients support for the entirety of the process of the sale or purchase of their home so they can concentrate on their needs and the needs of their family.  I understand that each file represents an important part of someone’s life, it’s the sale or purchase of a home not just a house, or the sale or purchase of a major investment, either way it is important to my clients, so it is very important to me.

I enjoy meeting clients personally if they prefer to see a face and know who they are dealing with. I am always happy to meet with them to answer questions or explain processes more thoroughly. Alternatively, we can complete your matter electronically without needing an “in person” meeting should you feel comfortable with online platforms. Either way communicating with my clients clearly and efficiently is my number one priority so they always know what is happening with their matter.

Working and living on the Gold Coast for over 30 years has given me the opportunity to be part of two very different communities that include the Central Gold Coast region of Surfers Paradise and Southport all the way to the rural communities I now call home local to Canungra. I feel very blessed to be part of such diverse and progressive areas.

As a self-employed family for over 25 years we all understand that customer service is paramount to any business succeeding. It is very rewarding to assist everyday people like us achieve their goals of buying and selling property to be able to build the life they want for their families. I find it exciting to assist first home owners purchase their first property and with adult children I am now able to help not only them but their friends traverse the property market for the first time and this is exciting and an absolute pleasure.

What involvement do you have in your community?
My family and I support our community however we can. Whether it is donating time, manpower or dollars, sponsoring, or just taking food and drinks to the local Fire Brigades and SES when they need it. There is always something going on in a rural community that can be supported.

What are your hobbies/interests?
My family and I lived in both Southport and Paradise Point prior to moving to our beautiful rural property near Canungra. I enjoy spending any down time I have with our family and the many animals that have found their way into our lives. On the rare occasion I get to stop you will find me reading or cooking. Over the years I have enjoyed supporting my family in the many hobbies and interests that have been or still are big parts of our lives including many equestrian disciplines, fishing, boating, speedway and classic cars.

What sets you apart from other conveyancing Paralegals
Life experience. As an older conveyancer that was first taught the Conveyancing process almost 40 years ago by Lawyers who I still admire and respect I bring a different perspective to the job. I have observed many changes in the decades I have worked in and around the legal industry especially more recently with Queensland mandating electronic conveyancing. Personally, my family and I have navigated the process of buying and selling and all that it entails multiple times now. I understand that it can be an emotional, stressful and sometimes frustrating process. I am always available to answer questions or discuss the progress with my clients throughout their matter and understand that life and work commitments often mean they will need me outside normal business hours. I am there to support them through the entire process from when they decide to sell or choose a property to settlement and beyond where needed.

What’s the most important part of conveyancing to ensure success?
It goes without saying that knowing and fully understanding processes and procedures is of the utmost importance. However, understanding that each matter is a major transaction for the clients you represent is as important. The sale or purchase of property is an important investment and one where the client deserves to be kept up to date, informed and have their interests protected. Clear communication and support of the clients’ needs and requirements are paramount at all times.
